Ordered a print for my mum for her birthday and it arrived flat and in perfect condition – ready to pop in a frame. It was well packaged so that the print didn’t get bent in the post. Highly recommend.

My name is Kay. I’m a wife of one unbelievably supportive husband and mother of two adorably demanding toddlers (four if you include two emotionally unstable dogs). I used to work as a graphic designer in the corporate world til I realised that office life wasn’t for me. I am a dog walking, dodgy diy-er, tree hugging, reality tv bingeing recluse who sometimes does art when my kids are asleep. I love music, nature, Internet rabbitholes and hanging out with the people I love.

I create pictures in the hope of bringing people a bit of joy and nostalgia. I “loves me county” so wonderful Wexford is often the subject. I primarily work digitally, so I draw directly onto my screen and then get my creations printed with a local professional printer.

Currently, I am focusing on town and village prints that celebrate the past and present buildings and businesses of the area. These pictures are a celebration of the joy in the ordinary places we call home and the pride of rural Ireland.

What’s in a name?

The name Waggilytail Designs is sort of an old joke – I used to give my friends ‘waggilytail hugs’ where I’d pretend to be my old golden retriever Peggy, whose tail would shake her from side to side (sometimes turning her completely around) when she was happy! I find sharing work under another name takes some of the fear away when posting pictures on Instagram – social media can be an intimidating place sometimes. I also love getting to say “I’m off to do my waggily work” when heading into my office.
